I have written more than ninety, large books. My main characters are usually between sixteen and twenty. Almost always they get captured, but then escape. Usually a war is going on. I started the series by telling stories to my children, with no thought of writing them down. Then a friend told me that I should write them down. I lived a long time ago.

My name is John Horn. I live in San Antonio, Texas. One of the important things about this city is that the Alamo is here. That is where the Texans fought for their independence from Mexico. Some of my interests, are reading, writing, hiking, and playing. I have a dog named Tom, and two cats, Josephine and Jane. I have a brother and a sister. My brother's name is Tim. He is twenty two years old. My sister's name is Cara. She is nineteen years old. We are great friends.
