Busy Busy Busy!

Because of a week of hard labor, (also termed work), I have not been able to write on this my blog. The reason for the extra work is that my uncle Bruce has been here from his home in Florida. He is a very good handyman and has been gracious enough to fix some aspects of our house. Some of the projects on his extensive list were things like putting up a new ceiling fan in our dining room, fixing a leaking sink. Also, patching our living room ceiling plus putting on a new screen door in the front of our house. I will have pictures of all the work as soon as I get them on the computer. So, until then, see ya.

My step-grandmother painted this. She's an excellent painter and has her paintings all over her house. Posted by Hello

A Poem

The Excavation of Troy
by John Horn

Harder, dig harder!
Uh, this wrethed sand!
Ho there, harder!
That crie echoed, over the sand.
The burning sands of Turkey.
Where is that city?
It must be here!
A man says,
He stalks, to, and fro.
Counting the hours.
On those burning sands.
When suddenly, as from a dream,
A shout,
A wall! a wall is found,
He rushes, to the spot,
The cry is true!
A wall,
High, and lofty.
Then a town,
Burned, and broken,
Then a name, a glorious name,
The famed, city of Troy!
